Snow!

Leon had a work trip planned in February and I was planning on going with him. We had been really looking forward to getting out of the house for a few days but the day before the weather called for a chance of snow. Now, it rarely snows here. And, even when they say it's gonna snow, it usually does not. But I just couldn't take the chance I'd miss Bishop's first snow that he can actually remember and Ben's first snow all together. I just couldn't. So, Leon went on with his trip and the boys and I went to my parents. AND IT SNOWED! It was about 4 inches and it melted the next day, but we got to play, sled, build a snowman (or 2), eat snow cream and ride the gator in the snow. It was perfect!

He may not look like it but he LOVED it. He cried when it was time to go back inside.

I've never seen anyone eat quite so much snow. Obsessed.

Bishop was very proud of their snowman.

He really loved snowballs too. Thank goodness for Granddaddy!

Snow is blinding!

                                                     Constantly eating the snow!

Snow cream. Also a favorite for this boy! Ben, my anti-milk kid, did not approve.

He really didn't get to sled, but he sure tried!
Since the other snowman started melting and fell over, he made another snowman…"olaf"

Ok, we've seen snow….now bring on the WARM WEATHER!

Grandmother's 90th birthday

We are so lucky and blessed to have such a sweet, fun grandmother. It was a great day, and we are so glad she was feeling good! 90 years is definitely something worth celebrating!

All but one of Grandmother's sisters were able to come. I think she had a great day.

The after party….

Chaos and Joy :)

State Park

We had a weekend of sunshine a few months ago and went just down the road to a local state park and had the BEST time. We hiked, we picnicked, and we just enjoyed being outside with each other. All I took was my cell phone, but I still think this deserved a blog post of its own.

Swinging bridge. We actually had our engagement pictures here. Awe :)

Picnic in the back of the truck.

We even squeezed in a little fishing. We didn't catch any, but we had a fantastic day. I hope we get to go back soon. I'd love to stay the weekend. They have cabins or camping spots and even have short canoe trips in the summer.

The Long Winter

Warp speed post ahead. I'll never get to everything I want to post, it just isn't possible. I have millions of photos I'd love to share but I'm so behind that I get completely overwhelmed and just do nothing. I have at least that many posts in my head. Maybe one day, I'll make the time to do it. I think I'll just zoom on through the last few months and get to where we are today and then MAYBE just maybe, I can keep up.

We started our holidays with a trip to the "North Pole" on the Polar Express. It was a super fun weekend and the boys had blast. And, it is safe to say after 2 attempts, Ben is not a fan of Santa!

That face :)

Thanksgiving is just one of my favorites!

Christmas is always a whirlwind and here it is April and I can hardly even remember it all! We did more than we needed to but it was all so much fun!

I haven't posted about this guy nearly as much as I'd like and that is partly because he is so much work when he's awake and I'm so tired when he's asleep! He brings an unmeasurable amount of joy to our lives. He has the absolute biggest personality to be so tiny! I've enjoyed every minute (WEEELLL, almost!) of being home with him.

I never imagined myself with a house full of trucks and superheros, but there is no other way I'd have it! I sure love my boys.
