15 Months

Wow. Really? 15 months already? Didn't I just post 14 months? Oh, I did, didn't I.

My 15 month old is so much fun and oh so bad and oh so sweet all at once. I've heard the saying "he's all boy" before, but coming from a family of girls, I just didn't really get it until now. Well, I get it, and he is ALL boy. ALL. The. Time. At times he is so bad, but he can melt your heart like none other.

He still speaks his own lanquage, and it is hilarious. He talks really fast, and all of the time. He does know how to say "I want it"  and "noooo" very well so he pretty much gets what he wants that way. He says so much that I can't even list everything, but his newest trick is counting to 3. He can repeat just about anything you ask him to...even blueberries

.

He truely is amazed by life. You can tell by the cute little suprised face he makes that he really loves life and loves to learn new things. We have a lot to learn from this little guy.

    He LOVES:
  • Mickey Mouse "Mou"
  • Elmo
  • Trucks
  • His big crab float that he wags all over the house. Best $5 ever spent...even if it never sees the water again.
  • Horses
  • Warm milk
  • Water...pool,  ocean, bathtub, sprinkler, water hose, etc
  • Dougie. He is more attached than ever. Is not fooled one bit by the replacement I bought. He will have none of it.
  • Oranges
  • Outside. He doesn't care how hot it is.
  • Dancing...He's got moves.
  • Books. Not that this is new, he has loved them as long as I can remember, but he is big enough now to go pick out his own books. And, he thinks about it when he picks them out. He will pull one out, look at it, and put it back if it is not the one he wants. BIG BOY!
  • The portable DVD player. I'm not big on TV, and I don't really want him to be (we might watch 15 minutes a day in the morning while he drinks his milk), but after being in the car for hours WITHOUT entertainment, I welcomed the idea...and it was fabulous! He made the "suprised face" when he saw it and watched it for hours (instead of whining or screaming..yay!)!
  • Dogs (or any animal for that matter)
  • Attention. Has to have it all the time....and he generally gets it! Says "hey" to literally every person we pass by.
  • Going to bed in ON TIME in HIS bed. I am so blessed to not fight with him about going to bed. Ever. As soon as I say "tell daddy night, night",  he gives his daddy hugs and starts heading up the stairs. He may want to read a hundred books once we get up there, but once I say goodnight, he doesn't cry or whine about it. He even loves napping at home.

He Doesn't Care Much for:

  • Sitting still
  • Having his diaper changed (requires sitting still)
  • Cold milk. I hope my next child is not so picky about the temperature of milk.
  • Bananas. Can't hide the darn things in anything. I try and I never succeed.
  • Being told "no". This is pretty much the main thing he doesn't like as with every other 15 month old I would assume. He reacts several ways to the word no, and you never know what you are going to get...he either A) Will mock you and repeat "NOO" and actually do the right thing B) Scream C) Do it anyway and give you a "haha" look.
  • Coming inside (this may trigger a major meltdown)
That's pretty much it....he likes a whole lot more than he doesn't, but he does have to hear the word "no" a whole lot!
